Filing your flightplan
Every type of flight requires a flight plan. Once your flight plan is filled in correctly, you have to file it. By doing so, the controller knows the type of plane you fly, your destination, the SID youlike to use…Even if no controller is present, you need to file your flight plan. This way, other pilots will also know what you intend to do, which route you will follow.
To file a flight plan you need to be connected with IVAO (see Pilot software (IvAp)).
When connected, go to the ACARS[1] window and press “Send Flight Plan”.

It is important to mention “Newbie” in the field “Other information”. This will inform the controllers that you are new on IVAO and they will provide you additional assistance if needed.
