After the Second World War and more precisely on the 15th of October 1946, Belgium decided to turn the Belgian military aviation into an autonomous force, independent of the Army. This decision was taken, after the contribution of the air weapon in the final victory had been assessed and thanks to the impetus given by many Belgians who became famous within the "Belgian Squadrons" of the Royal Air Force. |
NOTE:
Particular care should be taken for any type of Special Operation to be in accordance with IVAO rule 6.4. - Special Operations.“6.4.1 - Under special operations we categorize all aviation other than civil aviation. Examples are coastguard, rescue- and military aviation. This kind of aviation is part of the real world and therefore part of the simulation. Not allowed on IVAO are simulations of terrorism and acts of war. Although terrorism and war exists in the real world we do not allow the simulation of any kind of aggression or armed violence on our network. For further information on this issue see the rules and regulations for Special Operations”. Under no circumstance, Special Operations will justify reckless behaviour that may hinder other pilots during their normal course of flight. The Special Operations procedures and regulations are as close as possible to reality, taking into account IVAO rules. They should be respected at all times and no military activity can EVER be used as an excuse to break them! The Spec Ops shall NEVER be used to simulate a war situation!!
