Brussels Delivery (121.950MHz)
First Steps
As a pilot, before contacting Brussels Delivery, make sure you have read his ATIS carefully. When you know that information it will make things go faster for both ATC and pilots. Remember the revision letter of the ATIS and mention it on first contact.
Brussels SID (Standard Instrument Departure) Info
All departures from Brussels climb standard initially FL60 ! So ATC doesn't have to say to climb initially FL60. However, for IVAO it will be a good practise to do mention it.
Why FL60? That is the lowest level available in the TMA (Terminal Area). The SID is terminating at the border of the TMA (SID point), where the airway is joined.
In addition, there are agreements to separate departing aircraft so they will fly below the arriving traffic.
For example: when flying a SID via NIK, the departing aircraft at FL60 will fly below the arriving one towards BUN, descending to FL80.
